  The high temperature of motor bearings is mainly due to the following reasons:

  1. The brand of grease is inappropriate.

  2. Lubricating grease is of poor quality or deteriorated.

  3. Too much or too little grease in the bearing cavity.

  4. There are sundries in the grease.

  5. The bearing runs on the outer ring or the inner ring.

  6. Incorrect bearing model or poor quality.

  7. The coupling is not aligned.

  8. The belt is pulled too tight.

  9. The motor vibrates too much.

  The reason for the high temperature of most motor bearings is too much or too little grease.Summarize some experiences of motor bearing grease:

  1. Do not mix motor bearing grease.Mixed use of grease may harden or agglomerate the oil, which may cause the motor bearings to heat up.The motor bearings have been greased before leaving the factory. The grease is basically ordinary lithium-based grease. Therefore, before using a new motor, it is necessary to replace and replenish the lubricant of the motor.

  2. When replacing the grease, clean the old grease, clean the bearings and bearing caps, and then add new grease. The amount of grease added should be 1/2-2/3 of the bearing cavity space (appropriate for 2-pole motors) The amount of grease is 1/2 of the cavity, and the amount of grease for 4-pole, 6-pole and 8-pole motor bearings is 2/3 of the cavity).If the grease is too much or too little, it will cause the bearing to heat up during operation, leading to the decomposition and deterioration of the grease.

  3. The motor in use should be refueled regularly.If there is a time requirement on the nameplate of the motor housing, please refuel regularly as required. If there is no time requirement on the nameplate, please refuel regularly according to the requirements of the motor manual.Motor bearings usually need to be supplemented with oil to run for 2000 to 3000 hours, and the amount of supplementary oil is 20 to 50 grams.If the equipment is running under high load, the refueling frequency can be appropriately increased. If the equipment is not used for a long time, the refueling amount does not need to be that much, just a little replenishment.

  4. The motor bearing oil needs to be replenished during operation. When replenishing the oil, you need to wipe the oiling nozzle clean. Do not add too much oil at a time, otherwise the bearing will easily become hot.You can add a point first to observe whether the bearing temperature, sound, etc. change, and then add it. After refueling, the sound and vibration of the bearing should change. Pay attention to it.

  5. In dusty or humid, high temperature environment, the grease should be replaced frequently.When replacing the bearing, clean the bearing with kerosene and gasoline before injecting grease.After filling the bearing with lubricating oil, use your hand to easily pull the motor rotor.

  6. The motor bearing has a service life limit.In the case of normal oil replenishment and oil change, when the motor bearing generates heat or abnormal noise, it should be considered whether the motor bearing has reached the end of its service life.It is recommended that the bearings of the motors in normal operation be replaced every three years. For high-load motors or motors where dust is easy to enter the bearings, the time should be shortened, and it is recommended to replace the bearings once a year.

  7. The bearings used in motors without refueling holes (usually low-power motors) are closed bearings. During the service life, there is no need to replace the bearings with grease, and the bearings can be replaced according to the time of replacing the motor bearings.

  The oil replenishment and oil change of the motor bearing should be handled correctly according to the on-site usage. It is not static and must be checked frequently and dealt with in time to keep the motor in good running condition.
