  The low insulation resistance of the motor is mainly caused by two aspects:

  1. If the motor is not used for a long time and placed in a humid and unventilated environment, the insulation is easy to be damp, and the volume resistance of the windings, especially the surface resistance, decreases a lot after being damp, resulting in a very low measured insulation resistance, and leakage or short circuit in severe cases. phenomenon.In this case, pre-baking should be used to remove moisture. Oven heating method, DC heating method, low-voltage blocking method, etc. can be used until the insulation resistance reaches a lower standard value. Generally, the cold insulation resistance is more than 20MΩ.

  2. During the manufacturing process of the motor, there are burrs and serious irregularities in the core groove due to process problems, causing damage to the insulation paper of the groove, and improper process in the wire embedding process, resulting in insulation and edge paper damage, resulting in low insulation resistance.In this respect, the user of the motor cannot be solved, and the manufacturer should improve the manufacturing quality of the iron core and the quality of the wire embedding during the manufacturing process.
