How to judge motor failure based on sound

author:xiaoE date:2021-07-05 11: 40

First of all, it should be judged whether it is caused by mechanical or electrical reasons.

The method is: connect the power supply, there is an abnormal sound, and cut off the power supply, if the abnormal sound still exists, it is a mechanical failure; otherwise, it is an electrical failure.

XNUMX. Abnormal sound caused by mechanical failure

When the agricultural motor is running normally, the mechanical noise should be a small "sanding" noise, with no fluctuations of high and low, and no metal friction sound, that is, the sound of normal bearing operation.Common abnormal sounds caused by mechanical failures are as follows:

  1. The "sizzling" sound is the sound of metal friction, which is generally caused by the lack of oil and dry grinding of the bearing. The bearing should be disassembled to add grease.

  2. "Cracking" is the sound produced by the irregular movement of the rollers in the bearing. It is related to the clearance of the bearing and the state of the grease. If the motor only has this sound without other abnormal phenomena, and the sound disappears immediately after adding grease, it is not a malfunction, and the motor can still be used.

  3. The "chilling" sound is the sound produced when the roller or ball is running. If there is no other noise, and the sound is obviously reduced or disappeared after the grease is added, it is generally not a malfunction, and the motor can continue to run.

  4. There are two possibilities for the "boom buzz" sound. One is that when the motor is suddenly started, stopped, reversed braking and other variable speed conditions, the acceleration torque causes the rotor core and the shaft to loosen. The second is the sound of the transmission mechanism, which may be caused by loose coupling or belt pulleys and shafts, and wear of keys or keyways.

  5. The "chacha" sound is the noise caused by the motor sweeping.

  6. The periodic "crack" sound is caused by uneven belt joints.

XNUMX. Abnormal sound caused by electrical failure

  1. The sturdy "buzzing" sound, like a cow howl, is mainly caused by the current imbalance, because when the current is unbalanced, the electromagnetic noise of twice the power frequency related to the load will be generated, which is the main reason for the burning of the agricultural motor .In this case, stop the machine immediately and put it into operation after troubleshooting.

  2. "Hissing" or "cracking" discharge sound. A slight "hissing" discharge sound will occur when the stator winding is slightly in poor contact or leakage. In severe cases, a "cracking" discharge sound will occur.

  3. Mosquito noise, the stator winding ends are not well tied or impregnated with paint, and the entire stator winding ends have not formed a solid whole, caused by the vibration of individual wires under the action of electromagnetic force.

  4. There is metal crashing sound when starting, stopping and load changes, which are generally caused by the loosening of stator and rotor cores.

  5. Irregular frog calls are caused by air gaps or looseness inside the iron core.

  6. Metal shaking sound, the iron chip at the end of the stator opens, and the opened silicon steel sheet vibrates to give a metal shaking sound.
