  The power factor of a variable frequency motor refers to the ratio of the active power received by the motor from the grid to the apparent power.For a motor, the power factor can be understood as the ratio of the active current component in the stator current to the total stator current.The higher the power factor, the more useful work the motor can do, and the higher the operating rate of the power supply.We can also simply appreciate the ability of the motor to absorb power from the grid and perform work most intensively.For the power grid, I hope that electrical equipment has a higher power factor, eliminates the loss on the transmission line as much as possible, maximizes the capacity of the power plant, and satisfies the needs of as many electricity customers as possible.Therefore, to meet the power factor inspection requirements of motor products, the focal point is to ensure the high efficiency and low cost operation of the power grid.

  The motor receives useful power (that is, the input power of the motor) from the power grid and is mainly converted to the machine power on the output shaft, while the other part is consumed by the method of loss.The active power consumed in the motor in the form of fever mainly includes: stator copper loss, rotor copper loss, iron core loss, machine loss and wind abrasion loss, plus other unaccounted losses (stray losses), the so-called five major losses.From the perspective of energy notification, the smaller the loss, the greater the machine power (that is, the output power of the motor) output to the motor shaft, and the percentage of the output power to the input power, that is, the higher the efficiency of the motor.

  In order to improve the efficiency of the motor, the basic method of the motor manufacturer is to reduce various losses.The end size of the stator winding and the temperature rise of the winding are reduced to limit the copper consumption of the stator; the material and slot size of the cast aluminum rotor are directly related to the copper consumption of the rotor; the design and transformation of the electric fan and the wind cover not only improves the ventilation and heat dissipation results, but also effectively reduces Wind friction.
