  When the output shaft of the three-phase asynchronous motor has no load or the torque is zero, it is no-load operation. At this time, the current in the three-phase winding of the stator is mainly the exciting current, usually called no-load current.

  Based on the above concepts, the smaller the no-load current, the better, so that the power factor of the motor is improved, which has advantages for power supply to the grid.If the no-load current is large, because the wire load area of ​​the stator winding is inevitable, and the current allowed to pass is inevitable, then the active current allowed to flow through the wire can only be reduced, and the load that the motor can start will be reduced. Small, the motor focus is low, and when the load is too large, the winding is prone to fever.

  Generally, the no-load current of an ordinary motor is about 30% to 70% of the rated current, and the no-load current of a large and medium-sized motor is about 20% to 40% of the rated current.
